Soroptimist International of Europe

How are Soroptimists organised?

Soroptimists are organised into Clubs in their cities/towns/villages, each having approximately 30 members. There are currently 1,265 Soroptimist Clubs in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

When a country has more than 7 Clubs and at least 150 members it forms what’s called a Union. There are currently 24 Soroptimist Unions across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Together, Soroptimist International Clubs and Unions make up the European Federation of Soroptimist International, in other words, Soroptimist International of Europe. There are three other Soroptimist International Federations in other regions of the world:

  • Soroptimist International of the Americas (SIA)
  • Soroptimist International of Great Britain & Ireland (SIGBI)
  • Soroptimist International of the South West Pacific (SISWP)

The four Federations together count more than 76,000 members across 130 different countries!

All together, these four Federations make up Soroptimist International
